What Is OEKO-TEX Standard 100?
OEKO-TEX Standard 100 is one of the world’s most recognised textile safety certifications. It tests fabrics against a broad list of harmful substances including residual chemicals, heavy metals, pesticides and PFAS. Certification is only granted when products meet strict safety limits.
The important part is that the testing is independent. This is not internal brand testing. Accredited third-party laboratories assess every part of the fabric, including yarns, dyes, finishes and trims, not just the final garment.

OEKO-TEX and PFAS
PFAS, sometimes called “forever chemicals,” have been identified in certain textiles where chemical finishes are used to create water-resistant or stain-resistant properties. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 includes PFAS within its harmful substances testing, helping provide reassurance around what is and is not present in the fabric.
Boody’s Period & Leak-Proof Underwear collection has also been independently tested by TUV Rheinland in Germany to verify zero traces of PFAS. Two separate layers of verification, one clear outcome.
Independent Testing Beyond OEKO-TEX
In addition to OEKO-TEX certification, Boody fabrics are independently tested by SGS, a globally recognised testing organisation, to assess fabric durability, quality, chemical compliance and labelling accuracy.
